Life is full of surprises. Just like opening a durian! Sometimes, you might get the best and maybe not the next time. Had a mini durian session with 80% of the authors at my new place in Putra Heights a few days ago. My gratitude to those who bought the durians! (I am not sure as to whether Kok Kuan bought them himself or the rest chipped in.. hehehe). Hope everyone had an awesome yumcha session after that, not to forget the after yumcha session at my place. Get high on those Freddos! 
Since Nicholas will be working soon, and many of us graduating as well, our conversation topics were shifted towards working life. Seems that time flew by so fast. Too fast actually. Some of us are old by years but are actually young at heart! 
Badger, badger, badger ….
Surprise, surprise. I am due to only return home to my beloved country next Chinese New Year. But what on earth am I doing in Malaysia for the winter (southern hemisphere)? In the middle of my examinations, (late June) my mom asked me whether I would like to return to Malaysia for the holidays. At that point in time, I was reluctant. Oh, did I mention that my family shifted a few days after my flight to Brisbane? As a result, a few important things were not set up and put to rest properly i.e. computer network. Well, that’s the main reason (I suppose) my mom wants me back. Anyhow, the opportunity for me to return to Malaysia meant that I would be able to pick up some goodies too (clothes, slippers, etc ). Hence, I accepted my mom’s proposition to return home.
I guess my trip back isn’t a holiday trip but rather a “business trip”. Had to be on “standby” for my mom. She is settling a lot of stuff on behalf of the family right now. It is only right that I assist her. I didn’t announce to anybody that I was returning home during the winter holidays. Didn’t want to raise hopes. As mentioned, I am back for a “business trip”. “Working” for my mom. It is really hard for me to make an appointment and not cancel it afterwards. A call might come anytime and off my mom and I go. Don’t know whether all can take that as a legit reason. But whatever. Family should always come first (I try to).
Those whom I am able to spend some time with, I am glad that I am able to. Thank you for enriching my short business trip! Random : I actually feel “stuck” between Australia and Malaysia. Even though I am physically in Malaysia but I don’t feel like it. No idea why. Guess that’s cause my body is expecting me to be back only during Chinese New Year… hahaha..
